Autonomía financiera y marginación en las entidades federativas mexicanas en 2010

Abstract

La autonomía financiera es una condición deseable para las finanzas públicas de las entidades subnacionales que les permite solventar sus necesidades de gasto sin una dependencia severa de los recursos de otros niveles de gobierno lo cual les permite una mayor libertad de acción y los hace menos susceptibles a las presiones políticas del entorno. Pese a estas bondades, México es un país donde esta condición se manifiesta de manera muy diferenciada entre sus estados siendo las entidades más autónomas aquellas ubicadas al centro y al norte del territorio nacional.A través de una regresión simple se confirmó que existe una relación negativa entre la marginación y la autonomía financiera estatal; esto confirma que la autonomía financiera estatal se ve influida de manera importante por las condiciones del entorno.
