Biodiesel na America Latina: aproximações e tendências no contexto da governança

Abstract

O mercado dos biocombustíveisestá favorável para alguns países da América Latina. Esse é o caso do Brasil, Argentina e Colômbia, que despontam como potência mundial produtora do “combustível verde†. Este trabalho apresenta as perspectivas latino-americanas na emergente indústria dos biocombustiveis. As possibilidades de participação na indústria e no comércio internacional de etanol e de biodiesel de alguns países são discutidas, assim como os sistemas de governança e sua regulação correlata, de modo a avaliar e comparar as estratégias. É necessária uma avaliação conjunta e integrada, para que o mercado de biocombustiveis da América Latina se desenvolva.
