La Probabilidad De Incumplimiento De Los Hogares, ¿Mito O Realidad?

Abstract

En este artículo se examina el papel que desempeña el Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) para explicar la relación inversa con la morosidad de un crédito. La interpretación general explica que un mayor crecimiento del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) real se traduce en mayores ingresos para los agentes económicos y mejora la capacidad de pago de beneficiarios finales de los préstamos. En cambio, cuando hay una desaceleración de la economía el nivel de créditos vencidos aumente el nivel de desempleo y por ende los beneficiarios finales se enfrentan a conflictos para cancelar sus préstamos. Se concluye que existe causalidad entre la variable exógena (PIB) y endógena (Morosidad) estudiada; por lo tanto el modelo presentado es una buena aproximación para entender estas relaciones.
