Abstract

Neste trabalho são apresentados e discutidos indicadores socioeconômicos e práticas ambientais das empresas que atuam no segmento de celulose e papel do Brasil, a fim de identificar a contribuição desse segmento para a economia do país. Para tanto foram levantadas informações e coletados dados a respeito da balança comercial, PIB, emprego, impostos e práticas empresarias do segmento aqui estudado. Os resultados apontam que o segmento de celulose e papel tem papel relevante no crescimento e desenvolvimento econômico do país.
