Análisis de la solidez del sistema financiero ecuatoriano, a octubre del año 2014

Abstract

La crisis financiera mundial de mediados de 2007 y su posterior profundización durante el último trimestre del 2008, ha incrementado substancialmente el interés de los niveles de estabilidad de los sistemas financieros a nivel global. Los sistemas bancarios sufren de fragilidad en conexión con la elevada concentración de la deuda respecto de la estructura de activos de estas instituciones. Con el fin de identificar estas vulnerabilidades, proceder a su medición y constante monitoreo, los múltiples organismos de control locales e internacionales promueven el uso de los indicadores de solidez financiera, los cuales constituyen una medida clave del desempeño tanto del Sistema Financiero como el de sus subsistemas.
