Ensinando a distribuição de probabilidade normal utilizando os recursos do Microsoft Excel

Abstract

Este trabalho relata a experiência da utilização do aplicativo Microsoft Excel como ferramenta de apoio para potencializar no aprendizado do conteúdo sobre a Distribuição de Probabilidade Normal nas aulas de Estatística. A pesquisa foi realizada com alunos do curso de Química Industrial (Faculdades Integradas Maria Imaculada - Mogi Guaçu - São Paulo - Brasil). Focalizamos o ensino da Curva Normal ou Curva de Gauss, considerando a importância do tema para a Estatística Inferencial. Embora a elaboração dos gráficos e a interpretação dos conceitos desse assunto envolvam um conhecimento mais aprofundado de cálculo matemático, verificamos que com a utilização de algumas funções especiais do Microsoft Excel, conjuntamente com os conceitos teóricos sobre o tema, os alunos tiveram uma significativa melhora no entendimento do assunto.
