Evaluación Del Impacto De La Implementación Del Programa Bayer Cropscience Sobre Los Resultados Económicos - Productivos De La Cooperativa De Producción Agropecuaria Julio Díaz González De La Empresa Azucarera Majibacoa Provincia Las Tunas

Abstract

El estudio se realizó en la Cooperativa de Producción Agropecuaria (CPA) Julio Díaz González, para lo cual se hace un análisis desde el año 2003 que es cuando se inicia el programa con el patrocinio de la firma Bayer (Alemania). El objetivo principal de la presente investigación es evaluar los resultados económicos - productivos de la Unidad Productora con la implementación del programa Bayer CropScience. La afectación por arvences o plantas no objeto de cultivo era de alrededor del 67% en el año 2002, entre las cuales predominaban el arrocillo (Echinochloa colonum), la jiribilla (Andropogon spp) y glicinia (Wistorio furtesceas), esta situación ha sido revertida mediante la introducción del Programa Bayer CropScience, reduciéndose en un 10% el enyerbamiento en el año 2008. Al iniciarse el programa los rendimientos agrícolas estaban en 55,8 t. ha-1 de caña, los mismos se han ido incrementando gradualmente hasta alcanzar las 61,1 t. ha-1 de caña y continua en ascenso. El número de labores se disminuye de nueve labores a cuatro, además se reduce el gasto de combustible debido a que las áreas se encontraban libres de arvenses y solamente se emplean 10 hombres para realizar las labores agrotécnicas necesarias al cultivo.
