Teletones En Chile Y Colombia: De La Discapacidad Como Caridad, Y La Caridad Como Negocio

Abstract

Las Teletones en Chile y Colombia han regresado, dejado a su paso grandes recaudos en arcas privadas, a partir la publicidad hecha con seres humanos como sujetos de caridad. El autor, presenta las estrategias para alcanzar la caridad del televidente que se esconden detrás del lucrativo show televisivo, el papel del Estado en el evento, y, la percepción de las personas discapacitadas sobre la manera en que la Teletón dice representarlos. Esto, con el fin de contribuir a brindar una información veraz de como la caridad vulnera la equiparación de oportunidades y la visión de derechos en una sociedad desconocedora de su población discapacitada.
