Palma Aceitera Y La Seguridad Alimentaria En Maria La Baja, Montes De Maria. 2000-2008

Abstract

En el presente trabajo, hemos demostrado la hipótesis que el área cosechada de la palma aceitera, en el Municipio de María la Baja, se ha incrementado, mientras las áreas cosechadas de los otros cultivos que tienen que ver con la seguridad alimentaria, han disminuido y por tal razón la producción de alimentos ha bajado, impactando negativamente la seguridad alimentaria local. Este incremento, del área sembrada de la palma, ha sido posible gracias a los estímulos creados por el gobierno colombiano expresados en el Incentivo a la capitalización Rural-lCR y la exención de impuestos a la renta líquida generada por el cultivo.
