Abstract

Un sistema de administración de inventarios eficiente no trata por igual a todos los renglones en existencia, sino que aplica métodos de control y análisis en correspondencia con la importancia económica-relativa de cada producto. El estudio de la administración de inventarios es un campo del conocimiento que se ha examinado de manera científica hace ya varias décadas. Desde que fue propuesto el modelo de lote económico (Harris, 1915), muchos autores se han dado a la tarea de resolver múltiples problemas de inventarios.
