Comportamiento Y Perspectivas De La Industria De La Construcción En Baja California Sur (Bcs). México

Abstract

En numerosas entidades de Mèxico, el subsector de la construcción ocupa un papel relevante, tal es el caso del estado de BCS, representa el 13% del PRODUCTO INTERNO BRUTO (PIB), lo que posibilita la activación de diversas ramas industriales de manera directa y promueve indirectamente otras actividades. En este sentido, este artículo se orienta al análisis de la evolución y retos de la industria de la construcción en BCS, para ello se analiza información estadística durante el periodo 2000-2010 y se construye un análisis FODA del desempeño de dicha actividad. Los resultados apuntan a que la construcción de tipo habitacional ocupa el primer lugar, sin embargo, dado su enorme dependencia del sector e inversión pública, los altos costos y riesgos a los que se asocia, la convierten en una actividad sumamente vulnerable.
