Análisis De Estacionariedad En La Tasa De Desempleo Ecuatoriana Periodo 1980-2009

Abstract

En este trabajo se buscará determinar si puede aceptarse que la tasa de desempleo ecuatoriana sigue un proceso estacionario, es decir, se buscará definir si la tasa de desempleo mantiene fluctuaciones regulares en torno a una media que debería asumirse como constante en el tiempo. Caso de no aceptarse este hecho, podría pensarse que la tasa de desempleo sigue un proceso de camino aleatorio. Si es así, entonces no sería correcto asumir que la tasa de desempleo sigue una tendencia constante en el tiempo, ya que shocks de gran magnitud como el caso de crisis económicas afectarían al mercado laboral generando cambios permanentes en la capacidad del aparato productivo para absorber fuerza de trabajo.
