Abstract

El desarrollo constante de la ciencia y la técnica imponen cada día mayores exigencias a la industria del software; exigencias medidas en términos de productividad y calidad. Esto lleva a las organizaciones a la necesidad de reducir sus costos sin afectar la calidad, además de satisfacer los requerimientos y plazos de entrega exigidos por los clientes, de tal manera que puedan incrementar su competitividad. Por lo que la gestión de la calidad cobra gran importancia para cualquier organización que pretenda insertarse en un mercado cada vez más competitivo. En la presente investigación se ofrece una panorámica de la evolución de la calidad, así como el enfoque dado por algunos autores, sustentado en una revisión y análisis bibliográfico. Se incluyen algunos modelos de gestión de la calidad, particularizando en la industria del software.
