Abstract

La economía cubana en la última década ha sido objeto de cambios significativos en el orden estructural e institucional. Estos cambios son consecuencia de las medidas que se adoptaron para superar los efectos de la crisis económica que vivió el país en los 90, después de la desaparición del Campo Socialista. Obviamente, el enfrentamiento a dicha crisis implicó también un rediseño de la política económica del país y en particular de su Sistema Monetario y Financiero.
