Después De 13 Años: El Tratado De Libre Comercio De América Del Norte Y Su Incidencia En El Empleo “El Caso México”

Abstract

En este documento se pretenden establecer los efectos del El NAFTA en el mercado laboral mexicano, después de 13 años de vigencia. Se comprueba, empíricamente, utilizando el modelo de competencia imperfecta de (Krugman y Obstfeld: 106). Con el cual se puede explicar cómo afecta el libre comercio a las economías subdesarrolladas como la mexicana. Reforzando mi hipótesis mediante la construcción de bases de datos con indicadores del empleo y desempleo en México. Los cuales generan conjeturas interesantes, dando pie para descartar o ratificar la hipótesis de trabajo. Empíricamente se demuestran ciertas ventajas del TLCAN, la creación de empleos en las maquiladoras, pero de muy mala calidad. Mientras en otros sectores donde se es poco competitivo, principalmente en capital, suscita la destrucción de empleos.
