¿Macroeconomía mexicana sana? A tres años del “gobierno del empleo”

Abstract

por efectos de la crisis financiera y económica internacional, así como por la aplicación de políticas monetarias y fiscales sumamente restrictivas, a casi tres años de la gestión calderonista los saldos en materia de crecimiento económico y empleo son absolutamente negativos. De cumplirse las previsiones de crecimiento del FMI para este año, que lo ubica en -7.3 por ciento, durante los tres primeros años de la actual administración la economía mexicana estaría creciendo a una tasa promedio interanual del -0.9 por ciento. A pesar de que la inflación se mantiene baja y estable según el Banco de México, el salario mínimo real se ha seguido deteriorando durante el actual gobierno. A septiembre de 2009, el desempleo afectaba a casi tres millones de mexicanos a nivel nacional; en tanto que a nivel de las 32 principales ciudades del país, a poco más de 3.6 millones de personas. Así, el desempleo y la caída del salario real, se han traducido en un incremento significativo de la pobreza durante la primera mitad del autodenominado “gobierno del empleo”.
