Abstract

En la presente ponencia se analiza el conflicto en el financiamiento de la educación superior en América Latina derivado de la expansión de las demandas de acceso. Se profundiza en la forma específica que se resolvió a partir de la gratuidad y el acceso selectivo y como se conformó una dinámica de expansión de la educación privada. Se analizan los lìmites a la diversificación de las fuentes financieras y las características de estos cambios en los gastos de los hogares. Fnalmente se visualizan las tendencias del financiamiento de la educación superior en América Latina.
