El Gobierno Corporativo De Las Grandes Empresas Iberoamericanas. Análisis Desde La Perspectiva De Género

Abstract

Propuestas recientes de reforma del gobierno de las sociedades insisten en la importancia de la incorporación de mujeres a consejos de administración con poca o nula representación femenina, como señala el informe Higgs en Gran Bretaña (2003) y el informe Unificado en España (2006). Los argumentos empleados con mayor frecuencia enfatizan el papel que juega la diversidad de los administradores para un mejor funcionamiento del consejo que se traduce, a su vez, en un mejor desempeño para las compañías. En este artículo se va a analizar la situación de diversidad existente en las empresas españolas que cotizan en el IBEX35 y las empresas iberoamericanas que cotizan en el LATIBEX.
