Políticas Económicas Aplicadas En Venezuela Durante El Período 1959-2007

Abstract

Las políticas económicas aplicadas en Venezuela para el período 1959-1998 fueron producto de las corrientes estructuralistas y neoliberales, la aplicación de tales políticas condujo al país a una crisis estructural donde la mayoría de la población se encontraba no solo en niveles de pobreza extrema sino también excluida del aparato productivo y los beneficios sociales que este genera. Es así como a partir de 1998 se sientan las bases para la construcción de un modelo de desarrollo alternativo donde prevalecen la inclusión social y la participación ciudadana, todo ello enmarcado en la formulación e instrumentación de políticas económicas dirigidas al mejoramiento de los indicadores económicos propiamente dicho pero también a elevar los niveles de bienestar humano de los ciudadanos.
