Pa’rriba el Petróleo

Abstract

El precio de la cesta petrolera de la Organización de Países Exportadores de Petróleo ha alcanzado la cifra record en términos nominales de USD72.83 (el anterior record databa de agosto de 2006), y lo más preocupante para los países importadores netos de petróleo es que tanto la OPEP como la Agencia Internacional de Energía anunciaron que la demanda mundial de crudo seguirá creciendo. Esta noticia es muy buena para nuestro país, debido a que el crudo representativo venezolano Bachaquero 17 se debería estar cotizando entre los 65 – 66 dólares por barril (debemos tener presente que nuestro crudo es el de menor precio dentro de la cesta OPEP por tener menos grados API que sus pares en la organización), niveles muy por encima de las premias petroleras para este año 2007.
