Abstract

Unos días atrás el Ministro para el Poder Popular para las Finanzas presentó en la Asamblea Nacional el Presupuesto para el año 2008. Este acto nutre a los agentes económicos en general de las premisas macroeconómicas más importantes para el año que viene. Este tradicional discurso es seguido muy de cerca por los analistas para tener ya un primer esbozo de los números que maneja el gobierno sobre la economía en el futuro. De todas las importantes variables que se tocaron, me llamó poderosamente la atención dos de ellas, debido a que muchas personas salieron rápidamente a criticar y cuestionar. Esas variables son la cuestión petrolera, (incluyendo producción y precio) y la tasa de cambio.
