Un análisis microeconómico de la demanda de la tortilla en los municipios de Colima y Villa de Álvarez en el estado de Colima

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es determinar los factores que influyen en la cantidad demandada de la tortilla, además de conocer los efectos de las variaciones de dichos factores. En especial, buscamos conocer el efecto delas variaciones del precio en el consumo de tortilla. Nuestro estudio comprueba la hipótesis de que en Colima-Villa de Álvarez la demanda de tortilla tiene una baja o nula elasticidad precio de la demanda, por lo que el consumo reaccionaría ligeramente ante los cambios en los precios, y además es un bien inferior pues un incremento en el precio afecta más a las familias pobres que a las ricas, ya que éstas consumen menos tortilla.
