Abstract

The economic international globalization studies have been based on ideas of homogeneity and uniformity among all the countries, supporting the existence of worldwide models of business strategy and ignoring the necessity of taking into account the particular characteristics of human resources situation in each country. The analysis of the relations between Spain and Latin America in this context of economic globalization shows that there are some “non economic” elements imbued with diversity and divergence, which have a huge impact on the implementation of Spanish investments in Latin America, the co-ordination between Spanish Headquarters and Latin American branches, and the organization and interrelation between Spanish and Latin American human resources. Key Words: Globalization, Latin America, Spain, Business Strategy, Diversity.
