El Bosón de Higgs: "La Partícula Celestial"

Abstract

Se puede afirmar, fue el 4 de julio donde científicos del Centro Europeo de Investigaciones Nucleares (CERN) divulgaron el descubrimiento de una nueva partícula que “podría†ser el llamado Bosón de Higgs, conocido popularmente como “La Partícula Celestial†. Así mismo, en el año 2012 fue descubierta la última partícula que completa el Modelo Estándar de las Partículas Elementales, la teoría más sofisticada sobre la naturaleza del génesis del Homo Sapiens. Si bien, la presente investigación sobre la teoría proviene de la década de los 60 y 70, ésta involucra todo lo que miles de investigadores descubrieron sobre partículas elementales y sus interacciones (excepto la gravitatoria) desde cerca de 1700 en adelante. Aunque de manera breve, aquí se trazará la evolución de las esenciales terminologías incorporadas en la teoría y se explica la importancia de la nueva partícula y del mecanismo por el que F. Englert y P. Higgs recibieron el Premio Nobel de física de 2013.
