Repuesta productiva del Capsicum Annuum l. A la aplicación de un bioestimulante como complemento de una fertilización edáfica química

Abstract

Contribuir al desarrollo de la producción hortícola en Ecuador, es la propuesta de la presente investigación para aportar con nuevas alternativas que garanticen la sustentabilidad ecológica y el incremento de la productividad. Se utilizó el bioestimulante de (extracto de algas) y el híbrido de pimiento Nathalie; se recurrió a un Diseño de Bloques Completos al Azar, y la prueba de Tukey al 5% de probabilidad para la comparación de las medias. Para evaluar el efecto del bioestimulante se calculó altura de planta, longitud de la raíz principal, número de frutos por planta, longitud y diámetro del fruto, peso del fruto, rendimiento, también se efectuó un análisis económico. Los resultados no muestran significancia estadística para tratamientos y bloques. Sin embargo, aplicaciones de extracto de algas en dosis de 2 L ha-1 (T2) obtuvieron promedios más destacados en cuanto a número de frutos por planta (7,3), longitud de los frutos (11,0 cm) y rendimiento (5411,1 kg ha-1). El análisis económico para cada uno de los tratamientos, estableció que el T2 obtuvo mayor rentabilidad (201,6%) y mejor relación beneficio/costo (2,0). Todos los tratamientos que recibieron el extracto de algas incluido el testigo son rentables.
