El turismo científico y su contribución al desarrollo local sostenible en Ecuador. Caso de estudio

Abstract

El presente trabajo resume los resultados de una investigación realizada en el Centro de investigación, Posgrado y Conservación Amazónica (CIPCA) que funciona adscrito a la Universidad Estatal Amazónica (UEA). El propósito fue conocer si es viable el turismo científico en este centro de investigación que contribuya al desarrollo local sostenible de las provincias de Pastaza y Napo. La metodología utilizada fue la entrevista, la cual se aplicó a cinco coordinadores de programas de investigación, dieciséis directores de proyectos y nueve técnicos que laboran en el CIPCA. Del resultado de las entrevistas se logró auscultar que cuenta con todas las condiciones para realizar este tipo de turismo.
