Determinaciã“N De La Composiciã“N Botã Nica De Potreros En Las Ganaderã As Bovinas En El Cantã“N El Carmen, Provincia De Manabã , Ecuador

Abstract

Entre junio y octubre de 2013 se determinó la composición botánica, de las especies herbáceas y arbustivas en dos tipos de pastizales representativos de la zona del cantón El Carmen provincia de Manabí, Ecuador. Se estudiaron dos tipos de pastizales: Panicum maximum Jacq y Brachiaria (decumbens o brizantha). Se registraron 13 especies pertenecientes a 6 familias dentro de los 20 potreros estudiados, la familia más frecuente es la Fabaceae con 7 especies, dentro de estas predomina el género Demodium spp. El 82.6% de las especies (11) se encontró en P. maximum, el 17.4% (9 especies) en Brachiaria. S. acuta es la especie más abundante con 1393 g, del peso total, seguida por A. solandri con 516 g y D. tortuosum con 512 g. En P. maximum, se calculó una biomasa de 2.168 tha-1 de especies botánicas, de la misma forma en Brachiaria se registró 0.381 tha-1.
