Abstract

Este documento persigue analizar la importancia ambiental y socioeconómica de los sistemas silvopastoriles en los bosques de trópico seco en Nicaragua. Se presenta un diagnóstico de los sistemas de producción ganaderos y sus prácticas; se identifican los principales sistemas silvopastoriles en el bosque de trópico seco, para luego proponer buenas prácticas de manejo y las inversiones necesarias para ejecutarlas. Por último se manifiestan los posibles impactos ambientales y socioeconómicos que podría traer las inversiones en buenas prácticas de manejo, para hacer más sostenibles los sistemas silvopastoriles.
