Capital Y Trabajo: Implicaciones De La Reestructuración Productiva En El Espacio

Abstract

Evidencia empírica reciente (período 2003-2009) mostró que la ciudad de Zacatecas-Guadalupe, en México, las actividades económicas terciarias de consumo (clasificadas como de alto consumo: tecnología en telefonía estática y celular, televisión satelital, industria fílmica) fueron las que determinaron las nuevas localizaciones del capital y trabajo en dicha ciudad a áreas con mayor accesibilidad y equipamiento urbano. Además fueron los servicios y comercios de bienes de lujo los que requirieron mayor concentración de capital y menor dependencia del factor trabajo. También se presentó evidencia de que la actividad económica en la ciudad es de capacidad reducida en economías de escala, alcance y aglomeración. Todo ello intensifica y consolida en lo local el proceso de reestructuración productiva que se manifiesta mundialmente desde hace tiempo en detrimento del factor trabajo, de las condiciones de vida de grandes capas sociales a raíz del subempleo, desempleo, precarización.
