Abstract

La economía neoclásica que desde sus orígenes ignoraba el papel del medio ambiente, se ha visto obligada a tener en cuenta la dimensión ambiental. La ruptura, muchos la explican por un proceso que se realiza a través del mercado, que actúa como un instrumento de asignación de precios para evitar que se produzcan situaciones de escasez permanente de los recursos. Esta es una visión optimista de una situación cada vez más insostenible.
