Determinación De La Huella Ecológica Del Municipio Lajas

Abstract

Uno de los objetivos de la economía ecológica es la búsqueda de indicadores de sustentabilidad, siendo necesario encontrar los más adecuados para trazar correctas políticas de sustentabilidad a diferentes niveles, siendo la Huella Ecológica uno de los más usados para países y ciudades. El presente trabajo realiza el cálculo de la Huella Ecológica del municipio Lajas con datos del año 2009 basada en la metodología propuesta por López Bastida y colaboradores para la provincia Cienfuegos. Se presentan en la investigación datos de la subhuella, energía, cultivo, pastos, bosque, mar y superficie construida, comparándola con la capacidad de carga de esta misma variable. Los datos obtenidos son comparados con la huella de la de la provincia Cienfuegos y otras similares, se hace al final de trabajo un análisis crítico de las principales dificultades y políticas que debe trazar Lajas para mejorar la sustentabilidad de su huella ecológica y se presenta una propuesta de estrategias para aplicar a nivel local en el municipio con vistas a lograr un desarrollo equilibrado y ecoeficiente.
