Teorias da regulação financeira no advento das grandes crises mundiais

Abstract

Ainda que não se tenha discussão sobre a importância de um sistema financeiro enxuto e saudável para manter o desenvolvimento econômico diferentes linhas de pensamento entram em choque quando o assunto é como manter o sistema financeiro saudável. No centro dessas discussões surge a teoria da regulação financeira que busca manter o sistema financeiro internacional controlado sobre rédeas que o impeçam de avançar de forma destrutiva sobre as economias mais frágeis. Esse aspecto teórico tem ganhado cada vez mais espaço graças ao surgimento das diversas crises econômicas até mesmo nas economias consideradas desenvolvidas e por esse fator se revive a necessidade de se entender o funcionamento do capitalismo financeiro e organizar maneiras adicionais de evitar futuras crises.
