O Brasil como parte integrante da economia-mundo: uma breve síntese sobre pindorama, sua conquista e dinâmicas produtivas centro-periferia (Ciclo-do-Açúcar e o Ciclo-do-Ouro)

Abstract

Este artigo procura oferecer uma breve revisão bibliográfica sobre os fundamentos mais elementares do constructo conceitual denominado “economia-mundo†. Essa perspectiva nasceu com o historiador Fernand Braudel e foi sendo aperfeiçoada por outros ilustres pensadores, como Immanuel Wallerstein e Giovani Arrigui. Além desse reexame, analisaremos os processos de expansão da economia-mundo europeia e a consequente anexação das Américas, mas especificamente do Brasil. Ademais, buscamos analisar duas dinâmicas produtivas da colônia portuguesa na América, processos denominados ciclo-do-açúcar e ciclo-do-ouro, e como, em essência, ambos eram consequências diretas das especificidades da economia-mundo.
