La internacionalización del Renminbi como símbolo de hegemonía global

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se analiza la posibilidad real del RMB, en sustituir o complementar al dólar como divisa internacional y ser aceptada como reserva en los principales bancos centrales del mundo. La discusión se centra en el papel de la moneda como factor de influencia internacional, lo que permite la discutir sobre la existencia de posibilidades de un papel hegemónico del renminbi, ya sea individual o compartido en las finanzas internacionales. El enfoque se concentra en dos líneas de análisis, una la discreción de la política económica de China, y la otra su dependencia hacia las acciones de Estados Unidos.
