Epistemología del pensamiento económico en la teoría liberal monetarista

Abstract

El presente articulo analiza el pensamiento económico desde sus raíces epistémicas de la corriente liberal monetarista. Dado que el monetarismo se considera como la rama del pensamiento económico que se ocupa de los efectos del dinero sobre la economía en general, lo que ha definido al monetarismo como la tendencia que enfatiza el papel del gobierno en controlar la cantidad circundante, esta corriente se origina a partir de la teoría neoclásica o síntesis neoclásica propuesta por Samuelson. En ese sentido, la idea monetarista básica consiste en analizar en conjunto la demanda total de dinero y la oferta monetaria. Bajo un enfoque descriptivo, analítico, explicativo, metodológicamente se aborda el conocimiento relacionado a la teoría neoliberal y en retrospectiva y en prospectiva definir la visión del enfoque y sus aportes a las ciencias económicas.
