Dinámica del gasto público en España: factores explicativos y política económica

Abstract

La actual crisis económica ha causado un deterioro profundo de las cuentas del sector público, provocando elevados ratios de endeudamiento y datos de déficit que superan lo estipulado en la norma comunitaria. Este desequilibrio en las finanzas públicas es explicado en parte por factores relativos al ciclo económico, sin embargo existen componentes intrínsecos en nuestra economía de carácter estructural que ejercen presiones al alza sobre el gasto público. El artículo se cierra con una breve descripción de la estrategia de la política económica española al respecto.
