Calidad Del Empleo Y Educación Superior De Los Economistas De La Universidad Veracruzana

Abstract

En las Instituciones de Educación Superior en México, comúnmente ignoran la calidad del empleo y la asociación de la percepción de los egresados con respecto a su formación académica y desempeño profesional. Para tomar conciencia de ello se aplicaron encuestas a 120 economistas que egresaron en los años 1996 a 2001 y se analizaron los datos obtenidos con estadística descriptiva y la prueba Ji-cuadrada. Se encontró que el 96% de los economistas tienen empleo, y la calidad del empleo fue de buena a alta en un 32%, la cual está asociada con la opinión que tienen los entrevistados con respecto a su formación académica y con los requerimientos en el campo laboral. Al finalizar el análisis de la información se concluye que la calidad del empleo de estos profesionistas no es buena, y que dicho atributo está asociado con su formación universitaria y las exigencias del mercado laboral.
