El Desarrollo De Las Economías Contemporáneas Frente A La Sociedad Del Conocimiento Y Las Nuevas Tecnologías

Abstract

El desarrollo exponencial experimentado en las últimas décadas por las nuevas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC’s) ha impulsando un proceso de transformación sustancial en las relaciones humanas, la cultura, la política y la economía mundial. Sin embargo, el impacto de estos cambios en el contexto de una sociedad determinada depende de las condiciones particulares de su estructura y coyuntura histórica. Este artículo se ocupa de la noción de paradigma y de los rasgos centrales que actualmente lo definen; haciendo un repaso general sobre las transformaciones que le dieron origen y el modo en que se ha intentado condensar sus características bajo un término. Básicamente, se analizan dos conceptos que responden a tradiciones de pensamiento distintas: “Sociedad de la Información” y “Sociedad del Conocimiento”.
