Abstract

Até que medida Marx e Engels e sua reflexão são compatíveis com a ecologia moderna? Seria possível uma leitura marxista da ecologia? Segundo o entendimento de Lowy, o ponto de partida é que a ecologia não tem destaque no pensamento de Marx. Pois a relação entre a sociedade e a natureza não tem um consenso. A crítica ao capitalismo seria o fundamento principal para uma ecologia radical marxista.
