Regionalismo Y Globalización: Procesos De Integración Comparados

Abstract

La historia de la idea y la lucha por la integración en las tierras americanas que formaban parte de la Corona española tiene una antigua y larga trayectoria que nace en el mismo momento de la Independencia de las nuevas Repúblicas. Aquellos soñadores que fueron calificados de libertadores enarbolaron la bandera de la integración desde el mismo origen. Bolívar, incluso, propuso al Rey de España el constituir una Confederación de todos los pueblos de origen hispánico, con una nacionalidad común y acuerdos comerciales y económicos, reconociendo en la Corona una suerte de jefatura simbólica.
