Abstract

Las Sociedades de Garantía Recíproca son un instrumento vital para facilitar el acceso a la financiación de las pymes mediante la concesión de avales. La evaluación de la eficiencia es una herramienta de gestión útil para las empresas y el sector público. Una de las singularidades del sector de garantías reside en que en su capital participan tanto la administración pública como las pequeñas y medianas empresas beneficiarias de los avales, cada uno con diferentes objetivos. Esta multiplicidad de objetivos hace necesario tener en cuenta varias medidas de eficiencia además de las relativas a aspectos productivos. Al no ser un sector maximizador de beneficios y al tener un accionariado fraccionado, los gestores tienen un papel relevante por lo que también se estudia la consecución de sus objetivos.
