Sistema de costo ABC. Una propuesta para procesos industriales

Abstract

El Sistema de Costo por Actividades, conocido por la denominación anglosajona como “Activity Based Costing” (ABC) emerge como un sistema de gestión integral y no como un sistema cuyo objetivo prioritario es el cálculo del costo del producto o servicio; ahora son las actividades el centro del sistema contable. Teniendo en cuenta estas premisas y valorando la importancia de determinar el costo de los productos o servicios, con el menor grado posible de distorsión, se conformó este trabajo para presentar un modelo para el cálculo del costo a través del sistema ABC, que permita determinar el costo por actividades y por procesos, lo que propicia información relevante para el proceso de toma de decisiones. La validación de esta investigación se presenta para la perforación y extracción de petróleo pero puede ser generalizable a cualquier proceso industrial.
