La Ciudad y su Análisis Intra-Urbano: La Localización de Actividades Económicas y el Futuro de los Centros

    En el presente artículo se realiza un análisis sobre la importancia de la localización de las actividades económicas en las ciudades –esto es, la relación intra-urbano-; asimismo, partiendo del ámbito de la economía urbana y de la inserción de la ciudad y su espacio, es como se expone la estructura central de una ciudad. Si bien es cierto que el centro constituye el corazón comercial de la ciudad, no equivale a decir que existe un sólo centro en una estructura urbana. Y, por lo mismo, no existiendo un único centro no constituirá un Distrito Central de Negocios (DCN). El análisis de la localización de las actividades económicas en el centro se hace a partir de la revisión de dos modelos: el Modelo de Christaller y Lösch (Teoría de los Lugares Centrales) y el Modelo de Coffey-Polèse (Modelo de Localización de las Actividades de Oficina).
