Análisis didáctico-contextual: España, 1780-1814

Abstract

La historia de la educación no puede continuar manteniéndose alejada de todas las circunstancias que la determinan, gestionan, acompañan, modifican y hasta transforman y regulan. Hemos de ir bastante más allá de lo que inicialmente nos aportó el sistema de enseñanza reglado y los libros de texto habituales, pues de lo contrario nuestro conocimiento solo seguiría una línea, habitualmente descontextualizada, y en demasiadas ocasiones acrítica. A través de metodologías cualitativas de recogida de datos podemos efectuar la triangulación entre distintas fuentes de información para, de esta forma, aproximarnos a realidades pasadas multifactoriales que no pueden ignorar cuestiones trascendentales. Arte, literatura, hechos históricos y legislación configuran y fundamentan un testimonio cuyo contraste está al alcance de todas aquellas personas que deseen verificar, discutir o ampliar la investigación. Las ideas de la Revolución Francesa fueron configurando un nuevo paradigma del cual España no estaría ajena, e incluso Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi sería tan relevante para que se abriera un centro con su nombre, si bien, pese a provisiones, estatutos o reales decretos, el peso de la formación del profesorado y de la enseñanza en el período estudiado no incluye a la gran mayoría de la población. La Constitución de 1812, y la documentada preocupación de los liberales por la enseñanza, tendrían un corto recorrido por culpa de la restauración borbónica.
