Inmigración y mendicidad. Vulneración de derechos de los niños en el Ecuador

Abstract

La migración es un fenómeno social que ha existido para el ser humano desde siempre. Desde la época de Moisés, según la Biblia, cuando se produjo uno de los éxodos más conocidos de la historia. El Ecuador no ha estado exento de este movimiento y en dos décadas ha sido protagonista de emigración e inmigración, pues he exportado migrantes desde 1999 debido a la crisis financiera desatada, lo que según datos del Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas y Censos (INEC), emigraron cerca de 3000000 de habitantes a diferentes latitudes, especialmente a Europa, y en los últimos 10 años ha recibido inmigrantes, sólo entre 2016 y 2019 se recibieron cerca de 300000 venezolanos, que también coincidencialmente, vienen huyendo de la crisis económica en su país. Este trabajo investigativo tiene como finalidad definir las condiciones de vulnerabilidad en la que se encuentran los inmigrantes, sobre todo la población infantil.
