Abstract

El estudio de la pobreza ha sido una constante desde la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Numerosas organizaciones internacionales y académicos han generado un importante caudal de conocimientos y experiencias prácticas en este ámbito Se han desarrollado teorías, enfoques e indicadores que han permitido su tratamiento conceptual y empírico, así como la propuesta de políticas públicas para su reducción. Recientemente se ha desarrollado el enfoque de pobreza multidimensional. El presente artículo tuvo como objetivo caracterizar, mediante la metodología del à ndice de Pobreza Multidimensional, las condiciones de pobreza multidimensional presentes en los hogares de los productores agroecológicos asociadas a la organización ecuatoriana FECAOL propiciando la determinación de un diagnóstico que sirva como línea base para el posterior seguimiento y evaluación de las acciones y políticas que se implementen.
