A transfobia no Brasil: reflexões a partir de “E se eu fosse pura†, de Amara Moira

Abstract

A violência física e simbólica contra pessoas transexuais, denominada transfobia, se faz muito presente no Brasil, considerado o país que mais mata pessoas trans. Ao integrar a sociedade, a literatura permite realizar um debate humanizado a respeito de problemáticas sociais contemporâneas. Portanto, a presente proposta irá refletir sobre a transfobia no Brasil a partir da leitura de “E se eu fosse pura†, de Amara Moira. O objetivo desta análise é identificar condutas transfóbicas dentro da narrativa e relacioná-las com a transfobia dentro da sociedade brasileira. Dessa forma, primeiro se apresentará a autora e sua trajetória. Logo, se discutirá sobre autoficção e se exporá o enredo da obra. Finalmente, se relacionará a transfobia dos personagens à violência transfóbica que ocorre no Brasil. Conclui-se que a literatura permite discutir de forma humanizada a respeito de fenômenos complexos, como é a transfobia.
