Interação, gênero e sociabilidade na zona de meretrício: notas de pesquisa

Abstract

A presente nota de pesquisa tem por objetivo apresentar um relato preliminar de uma etnografia, realizada em uma zona de meretrício, que contou com apoio financeiro da Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de Mato Grosso, e que culminou na publicação do livro “Noites de cabaré: prostituição feminina, gênero e sociabilidade na zona de meretrício†(ALVES, 2010. b). Para tal, serão enfatizados os progressos, dificuldades, bem como os métodos utilizados para a coleta de dados. Com esse trabalho de campo, pude coletar um número considerável de dados que se encontram registrados em diários de campo, entrevistas semi-estruturadas realizadas com a utilização de gravador, além de diálogos informais e um amplo arquivo de fotografias.
