Propuesta de diseño para un sistema de recolección de residuos sólidos en el río Tunjuelo – Bogotá, Colombia

Abstract

Este documento presenta una propuesta de diseño para un sistema de recolección de residuos sólidos a implementar en el río Tunjuelo, al sur de la ciudad de Bogotá, basado en sistemas de recolección existentes y aplicados al océano, debidamente rediseñados y dimensionados para el contexto a trabajar. Con el proyecto se busca mitigar el problema de contaminación existente en la zona, así como los graves daños ambientales que trae consigo, teniendo en cuenta que este desemboca en el río Bogotá, afluente de gran importancia hídrica para el país. El diseño propuesto se basa en la contención de los residuos que fluyen por el río en un punto específico de este para su posterior extracción hacia tierra y respectivo almacenamiento, hasta el momento en que puedan ser desplazados al lugar pertinente por el sistema de recolección de basuras de la ciudad. Para el desarrollo de esta propuesta se deben tener en cuenta factores medio ambientales, las actividades industriales desarrolladas en la zona, la ocupación territorial en los límites del río, además de las actividades humanas que se realizan en esta.
