Abstract

O presente artigo tem como premissa abordar as transformações provocadas pelas novas tecnologias digitais aplicadas na educação no início terceiro milênio como recurso pedagógico, expondo desafios na apropriação do conhecimento e redefinições do papel dos professores nesse novo contexto. O artigo pretende apresentar, ainda que sucintamente, o papel da educação no atual paradigma tecnológico. A metodologia utilizada é a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. O impacto dos avanços tecnológicos tem provocado nas instituições de ensino, mudanças em seu comportamento, passando da tranquilidade de um sistema educativo social conservador e estático, para um sistema educativo dinâmico, em que as mudanças no ambiente e na tecnologia obrigam os educadores a obter conhecimentos gerais e específicos para fazer frente à nova realidade.
